Agriculture does not only involve the tilling of the land but also activities such as animal keeping, farm machinery manufacturing, and sales. The traditional notion about agriculture has been significantly changed by agribusiness, and many youths participated in it. Agriculture is an essential sector in Africa as it results in the hub of economic activities. Many people have engaged in farming but cannot sustain themselves and their families. This makes people believe agriculture to be traditional practice for the old generation.
Technology improves mainly small business performances in developing countries like Tanzania. The current agribusiness creates room for a lot of job opportunities. Agriculture and technology cannot be easily separated because technology plays a critical role in agriculture. Having a business company without a website is the same as doing agriculture traditionally where all the target is subsistence harvest. Technology developments like using electronic systems and data transmission have led to a significant change in the agricultural working environment.
